Description
Many years ago Squadron Prints did a number of smaller prints measuring approx 30cm x 20cm. This print portrays the Douglas DC-3 aircraft, Registration G-AGZD aptly named 'Percy Pilcher' and in the colours of British European Airways. Percy Pilcher was a lecturer in Naval Architecture at Glasgow University and in 1896 he conducted experiments with Gliders at Cardross near Glasgow. He was later killed whilst flying his Hawk glider in Kent.
