Description
Squadron Prints Lithograph No. SP276 - Qatar Emiri Air Force, The Royal International Air Tattoo 2024.
Established in 1974 as a small aerial support wing, the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) has evolved over the last 50 years into a potent, well equipped global air force. The QEAF is headquartered at Al-Udeid Air Base in Doha and currently commanded by Major General (Pilot) Jassim Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mannai. To recognise and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the QEAF, an impressive display of QEAF Aircraft will be exhibited at the 2024 Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) consisting of two Eurofighter Typhoons; one from the joint 12 Squadron based at RAF Coningsby and one from the Qatar production line, a Hawk from the joint 11 Squadron based at RAF Leeming. Aircraft in attendance from Qatar are a NH-90 NFH from 8 Squadron, a C-17A from 10 Squadron, along with F-15QAs from 51 Squadron that will participate in the RIAT 2024 flying displays. In recognition of this celebration the Royal Air Force has commissioned this print to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Qatar Emiri Air Force and their attendance at the Royal International Air Tattoo 2024.
