The Beechcraft Harvard II is a single engine, tandem seat, low wing training aircraft by Textron Aviation. The aircraft is approved for day and night VFR or IFR flight. It is powered by a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-68 free turbine turboprop engine with a Hartzell four bladed propeller. It has retractable tricycle gear and modern avionics system. The aircraft is the basic trainer for the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) program, based out of 15 Wing Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan. The NFTC program combines the instructional expertise of 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School with the resources of CAE Defence & Security to provide superior flight training to students from around the world.
